Meet Your Mentors
I'm an NYC-based artist and art teacher whose illustration work has appeared in The Guardian, WNYC and Wall Street Journal. I love mixing fine line work and sudden bursts of color. In my lessons, we'll keep our drawings light and loose and learn to enjoy the "unerasable-ness" of ink. – (Sktchy, Instagram)
I'm an Australia-born, German-based artist and art teacher, and drawing in ink has taught me so much about mark-making with intention and acceptance. In my lessons, I'll share these insights with you as we draw faces together and, as a bonus, I'll show you how I make organic ink from natural materials. – (Sktchy, Instagram)
I’m a self-taught artist from Finland, and l love experimenting with ink. In my lessons, you’ll learn how to paint with ink, adding water to manipulate values and add an enjoyable element of unpredictability to the process. – (Sktchy, Instagram)
Learn the basics of ink drawing from the Inktober founder himself! In his 35-minute Inking 101 tutorial, Jake will teach you techniques for shading, hatching and linework with a wide variety of pens (technical, Sharpie, felt-tip). He'll also demonstrate a face drawing and show you how to draw Wake from his comic book SkyHeart. This tutorial is in addition to the 31 daily video lessons from Vin, Dylan and Arto.
